Randori Kata

Nage-No-Kata (Kata of Throws)

Nage no kata is a randori kata of throws. Its demonstration should show the theoretical perfection of each technique from the setting up of the throw to its ultimate conclusion. For this reason Uke and Tori must work in harmony and yet in a natural way. Tori setting up the throw and Uke moving naturally and not anticipating the movement of Tori. Nage no kata comprises 15 techniques which are performed in 5 sets (waza) of 3, both left and right (Exceptions to this may occur for juniors and primaries).
